Today was another busy one for the marine biology students.  They started the morning off with a  lecture on mollusks and group project planning.  Afternoon excursions included grassy mudflats and the quarry.  Both were fascinating with sightings of sea anemones, feather duster worms, flat tree oysters, sea hares, lettuce slugs, and lots of algae.  We even saw a couple of large iguanas — on land, of course 😀

The second-year students visited the water treatment plant and are looking forward to the Dry Tortugas tomorrow.
