Day 3 – Saturday 3/30/2019
Today was a full and busy day for everyone. Students attended two seminars in the day. They learned about algae, water quality and the chemical/physical characteristics of the Marine environment. Excursions to “the quarry” and “the rocky coast also started today.
A really special event of the day was when two Manatee showed up to the dock at the marine biology facility. Students were able to observe them right at the surface beside the dock. Check out our Day 3 pictures for more of these amazing creatures as well as scenes from throughout our day.
At our group meal tonight was a special birthday cake for Rafael Diaz. Happy 18th Rafael! We were also thankful to Miller Poultry for their generous donation which allowed us to barbecue up 130 lbs of excellent chicken. It was a real feast!
